
Scott Armstrong
Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley
Scott Armstrong was elected as the MLA for Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley in 2024. A lifelong educator, he spent over 15 years as a school administrator before entering politics. Previously, he served as the federal MP for Cumberland—Colchester—Musquodoboit Valley from 2009 to 2015, where he held roles such as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Social Development.
He has also been actively involved in community organizations like the Children's Aid Society Board and the Hospital Foundation Board.
After his time in federal politics, he returned to education before winning his provincial seat. Now, as an MLA, he is committed to advocating for his constituents and serving Nova Scotians.
Scott lives in Brookfield with his wife Tammy. Together, they have three adult children and three grandchildren
